Earning Women Appointments
Since 2003 the Economic Council has recommended and referred hundreds of qualified women for positions on state boards and commissions. Working directly with the Office of the Governor, the Council has established a process whereby capable, skilled female candidates are recommended for administrative board and commission posts.
The Governor makes appointments year-round, as openings occur. If you think you may be interested and qualified to serve as a volunteer on one of Tennessee's many boards and commissions, stay tuned to this page for regular updates on openings. In addition, those interested in serving on one or more specific boards should contact the council at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive updates by email.
